Executive Director

In 2006, OEC welcomed only the fifth person – and the first woman – to serve as executive director in our nearly 40-year history as an organization: Andrea Durbin, a Pacific Northwest native, worked as an independent consultant based in Brussels Belgium and before that, she spent more than a decade in Washington, DC working as a senior manager for national environmental organizations focused on national and international environmental policy. She received her degree from the University of Washington, and completed Harvard’s Executive Management Program. She currently sits on Oregon’s Global Warming Commission and is a founding member and President of the Oregon Living Building Initiative. She lives in Portland with her husband and two children where she enjoys cooking, bicycling to work and playing with her kids.
