I would be in Central Oregon in the wintertime. There would be a light snowfall coming down. And I would love to go out for a walk in the fresh snow. I'd bundle up with my scarf, hat, gloves and warm coat and go out for a long walk and just breathe in the clean air and enjoy the beautiful scenery and snow-capped mountains. I’d then come home and sit in front of a fire and read.

Deputy Director

Chris provides leadership, support, and coordination to our professional program staff.  Chris joined OEC in July 1996 and led our program to curb global warming pollution from cars and trucks until she became OEC's Director of Programs in April 2006 and Deputy Director in April 2008.  Chris has a background in environmental policy, advocacy and education, including work with the Environmental Law and Policy Center in Chicago and the U.S. Peace Corps. She has a master's degree in public policy from the University of Chicago and an undergraduate degree in German from Reed College. Chris enjoys the great outdoors (especially in hiking boots, a kayak, or on skis ... as below), has traveled extensively, and enjoys playing Cribbage over beers.
