Let's get rid of BPA in children’s products in 2010
Will you join OEC in standing up for healthy, BPA-free products, and helping to ban this toxic chemical from our children's products in 2010?
Did you see the op-ed in the Oregonian from Senator Jackie Dingfelder and Maye Thompson, RN, PhD about the dangers posed by bisphenol-A? If you haven't had a chance, it is definitely worth a read. Senator Dingfelder and Dr. Thompson say we don't need more evidence that BPA is harmful. There are already hundreds of high-quality studies that link low doses of BPA exposure to birth anomalies, cancer, fertility problems, early puberty, learning disabilities and more.
Oregon doesn't need to lag behind Canada, Connecticut, Minnesota and the city of Chicago, where BPA is already banned from baby bottles. We do need to make sure Oregon's children aren't getting exposed to BPA leaching from bottles and cans into food and drink.

Please take a moment to let Oregon legislators know that you are standing up for healthy, BPA-free products and they should too when they head back to Salem for the legislative session.
