100 Best Non-Profit 2011OEC has been named one of the top “Best Nonprofits to Work for in Oregon” for 2011 by Oregon Business magazine. We grabbed the second spot in the “20 employees or less” category, jumping from sixth last year. The biggest surprise was we received the second-highest overall score of the 100 organizations honored. Number 2 out of 100. Wow!

Scores were based on employee feedback on factors such as work environment, compensation, benefits, management, organizational mission and goals, and career development.

To say we’re excited is an understatement. OEC takes great pride in having a happy, healthy, flexible work environment that empowers our capable staff to carry out our mission to safeguard clean air and water, an unpolluted landscape, and healthy food produced by local farmers. Oregon Business’ recognition means a great deal to our entire organization, including our board of directors, OEC members, our many partners, and of course, our dedicated staff. As the Executive Director, I’d like to thank all of our supporters for helping to make OEC such an effective organization AND an enjoyable environment to go to work every day to protect Oregon's environment.
