Partners push implementation action to Governor
A diverse coalition comes together in support of green chemistry innovation in Oregon.
Earlier this year, a diverse group of organizations including businesses, universities, business councils, advocates, local governments, and a tribal council voiced their support for Governor Kitzhaber’s efforts to advance green chemistry innovation in Oregon.
The letters, co-authored by the Oregon Environmental Council and leading organizations in Oregon and beyond, reminds us that while passing smart new policies is critical, ensuring that these policies are effectively implemented is just as important. Developing and advocating for policies through collaboration (like our work on green chemistry and Executive Order 12-05) is just the beginning.
At OEC, we believe that positive change requires a sustained commitment. That's why we'll continue to protect Oregon's air, water, and the health of our communities and businesses by making sure we follow through on the types of responsible actions our policies require. We applaud our partners—past, present, and future—who are willing to contribute their expertise, resources, and passion in support of positive change.
