The City of Portland and Multnomah County would like your feedback on the proposed Climate Action Plan 2009. The plan will serve as a 40-year roadmap for the institutional and individual changes needed to cut local carbon emissions 80% by 2050. Its broad goals and specific actions aim to achieve a more stable, prosperous, and healthy future for all of us. Your comments and questions can help to ensure that the plan has the best possible combination of goals and actions.

You have several options for acquiring a copy of the 2009 Climate Action Plan and sharing your comments.

  • You can make comments online and download an executive summary or full draft.
  • You may attend town hall meetings, where city leaders and authors of the plan explain details, listen to comments, and answer questions. The meetings will take place at the following locations and times:
    • Northeast - Thursday, June 25 (6:30-8:30PM), Dishman Community Center, 77 NE Knott
    • Downtown/Central Westside - Monday, June 29 (6:30-8:30PM), Lincoln HS Cafeteria, 1600 SW Salmon St
    • North - Tuesday, July 7 (6:30-8:30PM), University Park Community Center, 9009 N Foss Ave

Please submit your comments before July 13th (the end of the comment period) to play an important role in securing a sustainable future for all people in Portland and Multnomah County!
