OEC will be at the 25th annual Salmon Festival at Oxbow Regional Park, providing information on ways to keep our rivers clean!

Please join Metro, the Portland Water Bureau, Mt. Hood National Forest, the Columbia River Inter-Tribal Fish Commission, The Bureau of Land Management and PGE for the 25th annual Salmon Festival at Oxbow Regional Park on October 11-12, 2008.

The Salmon Festival is a celebration of the return of wild salmon to the Sandy River.  The event, which draws up to 8,000 visitors annually, emphasizes the value of healthy riparian habitats for native fish and wildlife.  Visitors can enjoy a variety of activities, including a riverside educational activity “School of Fish”, a Native American village, children’s activities, live music, delicious regional foods, and a showcase of artisans and educational booths under the “Big Top”.

Please contact Metro for admission prices.

If you would like to volunteer with OEC for this event, please contact Carrie at volunteer [at] oeconline.org or 503.222.1963 x115.
