Earth Day at Whole Foods Markets
Oregon’s Whole Foods Markets will donate 5% of net sales on April 22 to support our work. That could add up to thousands for Environmental Health, Healthy Food and Farms, Clean and Healthy Rivers, and Slowing Global Warming.

On Earth Day, Thursday, April 22nd, celebrate your power to choose earth-friendly food and products by joining Oregon Environmental Council at a Whole Foods near you. Whole Foods will donate 5% of their sales profits on Earth Day to support OEC!
OEC staff and volunteers will be on hand with smart shopping tips at Whole Foods in six Portland metro stores and one in Bend. An "earth Day Bingo” game will challenge young shoppers to find items in the store carrying logos for sustainably produced items.
Forty years ago on the first Earth Day, Oregonians could scarcely imagine walking in to a local supermarket to find sustainably produced food, goods in recycled packaging and cleaning supplies striving for safer formulations. Today, we have the power to choose – and smart choices for the environment are more important than ever!
