The FTC's proposed 'Green Guides' have been receiving coverage in the press: coverage that both supports and questions the content of the guides. What do these proposed guides mean for Oregon business? And what ways can the guides be improved?

Please join the University of Oregon's Green Product Design Network on December 1, 2010 to share your thoughts and discuss an ‘Oregon response' to the proposed FTC Green Guides.

We will begin the conversation by providing an overview of the guidelines followed by a brief analysis of the hot button issues currently being addressed by thought leaders in this area.  To promote a broad exploration of the potential impacts and initiate a lively discussion, we have invited the following individuals to give us their perspectives on the new guides.

    * John Frazier, Director of Considered Chemistry, Nike
    * Scott Exo, Executive Director, Food Alliance
    * Eric Brody, Consultant, The Outdoor Industry Eco Index

Please RSVP with Kim Sheehan at ksheehan@uoregon.edu.
