Workplace giving with Earth Share
If your workplace has a payroll deduction program for charity, you can designate a gift to Earth Share of Oregon or to members of Earth Share, including Oregon Environmental Council.
Does your employer organize a charitable giving campaign? Many community-minded companies in Oregon--big and small--make it easy for employees to make either one-time gifts or payroll deductions to support local charities. Some companies will even match your donation!
Oregon Environmental Council is one of 70 conservation groups that benefit from Earth Share.
You can choose to have contributions sent automatically to your favorite Oregon conservation group. Or, you can make a general environmental gift to EarthShare that will benefit all 70 groups.
Since your contribution is spread out over the course of a year, a small amount is deducted from each paycheckl, and all gifts are fully tax-deductible.
Here’s how it works:
- First, find out if your workplace is one of Earth Share’s Business Partners -- and see if they'll match your donation!
- If your employer is a partner, ask for a pledge form. Most employers have a giving campaign and a sign-up period every year. You may be able to give to both Earth Share and United Way.
- If Earth Share is not part of your employer's charitable giving campaign choices, the folks at Earth Share can help you get it set up. They have solutions for both big businesses and smaller ones.
Earth Share makes a difference:
From the coast to the cities to the mountains, valley and desert, it takes a lot of groups--each with a unique expertise--to pull together and protect the Oregon we love. Earth Share is responsible for gathering hundreds of thousands of dollars to support these efforts.
