Incentives for Producing or Using Biofuels
There's a wealth of tax credits, loans, and other incentives available for businesses, researchers and producers interested in clean energy. For information on permits, licenses, state and federal incentives and other resources for producing biofuels, visit the Oregon Department of Energy's website and the Northwest Biofuels Association.
If you sell or use biodiesel (not in a mixture) as a fuel, you may be eligible for a general business credit on your income tax return. The biodiesel fuel credit consists of a straight biodiesel fuel credit and a biodiesel mixture credit. Check with your tax agent.
The Oregon Environmental Council has also developed the Northwest Biofuels logo, which is available to users and producers of biofuels in Oregon, Washington, Montana and Idaho.
