December - April:

Oregon is lucky to have mild winters! Some produce is available even in the coldest months. Other local foods store well, and are available fresh in the winter. Look for these sustainably produced items from local farms:

Greens: kale, leeks, fennel, broccoli, red and green cabbages, Brussels sprouts, Chinese cabbages, mustard greens, hardy lettuces, Swiss chard, collards
Root Vegetables: beets,  carrots, turnips, celeriac, parsnips, kohlrabi, rutabaga
Storage foods: garlic, onions, shallots, potatoes, sweet potatoes, winter squash, apples
