A Healthier Environment Means Healthier People

The Oregon Environmental Council is dedicated to the principle that an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. We're proud to work with the Oregon Medical Association, OHSU, the Oregon Legislature and others to create a healthier environment for healthier Oregonians.

We work with health practitioners, researchers and patients understand the linkages between environment and health, and we provide tools and information from well-respected, science-based sources.

Our Annual NW Environmental Health Conference hosts leading scientists, researchers and health care professionals in the field of environmental health and focuses on stimulating robust dialogue regarding the impact of the environment on health and health care practices. Past conference presentations are available.

OEC also manages The Oregon Collaborative on Health and the Environment, a regional organization that shares news, research and other tools related to human environmental health issues. Learn more here.
