Join CHE - Oregon

Joining CHE Oregon requires no fee, no commitment of individual or organizational resources, and no expertise on health or the environment. You automatically become a partner in CHE national when you become part of CHE Oregon.

CHE Partners join a network of colleagues who share a commitment to raising the level of public and professional dialog about health and the environment and who agree with the CHE Consensus Statement.

CHE national sends one or two emails a month, CHE Oregon sends about two as well. You will be invited to participate further only if you choose to do so.

You can join CHE as an Organizational Partner, or as an Individual Partner, or both. Organizational Partners have a special role in CHE because they speak for larger numbers of people. Individual Partners also can play a key role in CHE whether or not their organizations choose to join.

Some people join both as Individual Partners and, on behalf of their organizations, as Partner Organizations. The Individual Partners within Partner Organizations are assured that they will personally be on the CHE listserves. They can speak for themselves within CHE when it may not be appropriate to speak for their Partner Organization.

Some of the opportunities available to CHE Oregon Partners include:

• The opportunity to join working groups on topics including health provider education and media/research.

• Invitation to face to face meetings with other CHE partners.

• Opportunities to learn about Oregon specific environmental health research, advocacy, education and governmental action.

Additional national resources available to CHE Partners include:

• The opportunity to join CHE Working, Discussion and Regional Groups

  on topics including: Asthma and the Environment, Fertility and Early Pregnancy Compromise, Learning and Developmental Disabilities, Cancer, Electromagnetic Fields and more.

• CHE's Toxicant and Disease Database, which contians over 200 diseases and the chemicals that are linked to them.

  Current health science on asthma, breast cancer and other diseases.

• Monthly educational Partnership Calls covering environmental health science, policy and advocacy.

• A monthly e-newsletter - with information and resources on Partnership Calls, events, science and news.

• A selected listing of environmental health events and activities taking place nationwide.
