Travel

There is a greener way to go.

Every mile you fly in an airplane generates the same amount of heat-trapping carbon dioxide (CO2) on a per-person per-mile basis as driving an SUV that gets 20 miles per gallon. The average commercial domestic US airline flight releases more than 1,700 pounds per person of harmful global warming gases like CO2 into our atmosphere.

To minimize this pollution, consider taking vacations close to home, or the next time you fly, offset the global warming pollution associated with your air travel. Bon voyage!
