July 16, 2008—Oregon Environmental Council’s Dr. Renee Hackenmiller-Paradis to present findings from “Pollution in People” study at City Club of Central Oregon
PORTLAND, Ore.—July 16, 2008—Last fall, the Oregon Environmental Council released “Pollution in People,” a first-of-its kind study examining the levels of toxic pollutants in Oregonians. The diverse group of 10 women and men who volunteered for the study came from all over the state. Unfortunately, they all had one thing in common with each other – and probably all Oregonians – the presence of hazardous chemicals in their bodies.
On Thursday August 7, Dr. Renee Hackenmiller-Paradis, will be discussing the results of the study and its implications for Oregon at a City Club of Central Oregon forum at the St. Charles Center for Health and Learning. She will also provide in-depth background on the nature of prevention, potential healthy impacts of toxins and how we can now begin to track our exposure to these chemicals.
