FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
2008 Oregon Environmental Council Business Forum Series to Highlight the Advantages of Sustainability to Oregon Commerce
Mar 19, 2008PORTLAND, Ore.—March 19, 2008—For the last two years, the Oregon business community has identified “sustainability” as a competitive advantage for Oregon and an issue that should be integrated into the Oregon Business Plan. But does sustainability make financial sense? And how are Oregon cities and companies raising the bar and putting sustainability into practice successfully in ways that are good for business? At its 13th annual Forum for Business and the Environment series, the Oregon Environmental Council has gathered financial and economic experts, business leaders, elected officials and other professionals to answer these questions. The speakers will provide real-world examples of sustainability in practice and will explore what it means to develop viable sustainable communities.
Events are $35 each ($25 for OEC members and employees of nonprofit or governmental agencies). Online registration is available at www.oeconline.org or by calling 503-222-1963 ext. 100. Food is provided at all events. Seating is limited. Reservations should be made ten business days in advance of the event.
NOTE: Complimentary media passes for each event are available upon request. Please contact communications director Jeremy Graybill for more information.
